The adult film company Vivid Entertainment Group announced Friday night it has obtained a copy of a sex tape made by former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean and wants to distribute it.
"We've now seen the footage that has been so much in the news lately, we've reviewed it and we are ready to negotiate with Carrie,'' Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch said.
"The footage we saw is a series of very graphic and hot clips. Let's just say that she appears to be totally enthusiastic and is thoroughly enjoying herself. Carrie says the tape was 'The biggest mistake of my life.' That may be, but she can take this mistake and turn it into cold, hard cash.''
Hirsch said the third party that brought the tape to Vivid affirmed that Prejean was over 18 years old when she made the tape.
If Vivid acquires the rights to the the tape, it would be distributed under the Vivid-Celeb imprint, which has distributed tapes with Shauna Sand, Kim Kardashian and Ray J, Jimi Hendrix, Vince Neil and others, Hirsch said.
"I'm convinced more than ever that this cold be our best-selling Vivid-Celeb tape,'' Hirsch said.
Prejean could not be immediately reached for comment.
Prejean has acknowledged making a sex tape. The entertainment Web site RadarOnline.com reported Friday there are eight sex tapes involving Prejean.
Vivid, which describes itself as "the world's leading adult film studio,'' recently renewed the offer, offered Prejean $1 million in May to star in a pornographic movie, an offer it repeated Wednesday.
Prejean, 22, formerly of San Diego, initially drew national attention for responding to an interview question at the Miss USA Pageant by saying she was against same-sex marriage because of her religious beliefs and finishing in second.
She became a conservative spokeswoman for family values, even as revealing photos of her surfaced, and she was eventually stripped of her Miss California USA title for not showing up at pageant events.
Prejean sued the pageant and its officials, claiming her crown was taken away because of her religious beliefs.
The pageant countersued Prejean in October, asking to be reimbursed for her breast implants.
The two sides quickly settled after pageant officials showed Prejean and her mother they had a racy video of the beauty contestant, TMZ.com reported.
In interviews publicizing her new book, "Still Standing,'' Prejean said she made the video herself for a boyfriend when she was 17, trusting that he would not allow it to become public, and that it was "the biggest mistake'' of her life.
Who seriously cares ? She is just ANOTHER silly young lady who has done the same mistake that has been repeated for the last 40 years . how about some real news instead of this self absorbing nonsence where even the money could be put to better use than entertaining some horrible little family in a trailer in the desert

I am not sure how Vivid could distribute the tape. The original is a gift, so there is no copyright issue. But you can't just make copies of the original and try to sell it. If you receive a copy of the Titanic from the producer, it doesn't give you the right to mass produce it and sell it. As litigious as Carrie Prejean is, I am sure she will sue to get some profit, if not all.
