Thursday evening, November 19th, Universal CityWalk will transform into a scene right out of Monty Python when hordes of silly walkers swarm CityWalk for a few brief minutes - and all for a great cause: hunger relief. It's the first-ever SillyWalks for Hunger, a celebration of Monty Python's 40th Anniversary a huge staged production that will benefit Feeding America, the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank and Global FoodBanking Network.
SillyWalks for Hunger will be presented by the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club, MashCast and Rich & Tone Productions. With Jon Lovitz acting as the Minister of SillyWalks for the evening, Los Angelinos are invited to come be a part of fulfilling the mission of the event and the online hunger initiative associated with it: Provide 1,000,000 meals to families, children and elderly in L.A. and across the nations this holiday season! At the same time, you'll be part of a historic media event as Rich & Tone choreograph a dance based on the legendary Monty Python "Ministry of Silly Walks" sketch.
One lucky silly walker will win a trip to the Spam Jam in Hawaii, and the first 100 people to drive to Universal CityWalk that day and bring food (drop off near Bucca di Beppo or the Universal Globe Fountain will receive an official gift bag on the spot. Bring a full grocery bag of non-perishable food items to Jon Lovitz Comedy Club from now through Nov 19th and admission is free!
